Chair:  Daniel Gopher

The Track on Sports Training and Leisure is accepting submissions for the IEA 2009 Congress in Beijing, China. The track encourages symposia, panels, and demonstrations that address research, application and evaluation of products related to the development, training and evaluation of sport and leisure activities and skills, Also of interest, are human factors and ergonomic based products developed to augment these activities. The content could include laboratory, field and case studies, conceptual models, and demonstrations. Relevant topics include novel training protocols, new methods for measurement of performance and skills, development of multimodal virtual reality and augmented reality training environments, usability studies of related products. Symposia with papers that focus on new training approaches using modern computer technology, and in particular contemporary multimodal VR and AR technologies, are especially welcomed. We are also interested in demonstrations of new products/tools/software/methods that address sport and leisure activities for young and elderly users.

This track is also soliciting reviewers for the proposals in November 2008. If you wish to help with the review, or you have any other questions, please contact me at dgopher@ie.technion.ac.il
