The Occupational Biomechanics Track is accepting submissions for the IEA 2009 Congress in Beijing, China. This track encourages lectures, symposia, panels, and demonstrations that address occupational biomechanical issues. The content could include laboratory, field, and/or modeling studies that help advance our understanding of musculoskeletal disorder causation and control. Relevant topics include biomechanical identification and evaluation of occupational risk factors, biomechanical modeling, interactions with worker individual factors, novel measurement techniques, development of innovative interventions, and return to work issues. Symposia combine Biomechanics with particular domain areas (e.g. healthcare, transportation, building and construction, etc.) are especially welcomed. We are also interested in demonstrations of new products/tools/software/methods that address biomechanical considerations for aged workers,
This track is also soliciting reviewers for the proposals in November 2008. If you wish to help with the reviews, or have any other questions, please contact Barbara Silverstein at silb235@lni.wa.gov, William Marras at marras.1@osu.edu.
