Human Factors and Ergonomics in Aerospace

Co-Chairs:  Guy Boy and Don Harris

Objective

Participants to this session will attempt to share common research and practice issues and current solutions in aerospace human factors and ergonomics. The session is intended to focus on socio-technical systems, their analysis, design and evaluation, as well as emergence of new practices, in various phases in systems development including research, design, certification, training… In particular, the session will focus on: systems of systems, i.e., the multi-agent perspective of human-machine systems; a business perspective of aerospace human factors and ergonomics, i.e., economic models, including all players in value chain; and organizational issues, i.e., this goes with the concept of system of system, legal and anthropological issues… Interaction will be encouraged and a synthesis will be made.
